North Coast Ohio - Chapter 2063

High School
Ballroom Dance Teams

Save the Date!
April 18, 2015

USA Dance Chapters 2024 and 2063 are working together to make ballroom dancing in local high schools a reality. They have provided grants to local Northeastern Ohio teachers in an effort to open the door to a new experience for high school students.

There are a number of personal benefits a young person can receive by participating in programs like these. The dancing itself instills poise, grace and confidence while the joining of two people as a team offers respect, teamwork and physical challenges.

Students learn goal setting and problem solving as they enhance their abilites to follow directions. They learn how to accept constructive criticisms as they improve their creative talents. There are added features to High School Ballroom Dancing as students become more aware of personal grooming and hygiene habits.

Two local high schools started their teams. Learn more about their activites by contacting their team advisors.

Mayfield High School, Normandy High School and Parma High School will be teaming together for a Fundraiser Social Dance on Saturday, April 18, 2015. The teams will not be competing this year, but are hopeful that next year students will be ready.

We would like to invite the ballroom dancing community to attend this event in and effort to continue this worthwhile cause. Your participation and donations will assist us in expanding this program to other North Eastern Ohio high schools.

We are looking for volunteers to help with the event, do dance demonstrations, or simply commit to attending in show or your support.

See the flyer for more information or contact one of the team advisors.
