PLACES TO DANCECleveland Swing Dancing - Swingtime Band All About Dancin'
American Ballroom CentreFurther south from Cavanas and a little to the west is American Ballroom Centre on Ridge Road in Parma. This is a studio. Their address and phone number are 5673 Ridge Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44129 Phone (440) 884-9200. They are located 12 Blocks South of I-180 on Ridge Rd. They have a nice large floor. Their entrance fee is $8.00. They hold dances on Saturdays from 8:00 to 11:00. Belinda'sIf you are interested in strictly salsa and merengue, there is an excellent Latin club on the west side of Cleveland called Belinda's. It is in a Latino neighborhood. We have always had fun when we go. They have live bands on the weekends - very loud - but loads of fun. They are located at 9613 Madison Ave Cleveland, OH 44102 an their phone number is (216) 651-1968. The bands don't get started until 9:30 - 10:00 and they go to about 2:00. They usually have a DJ until the band starts. The crowd usual doesn't build until just before the band starts. When we go there, we go around 8:00 or 8:30 so we can dance to the DJ, they we enjoy the live band and watch how merenge should be danced.
Cavana BallroomCavana Ballroom on Pearl Rd, (W. 25th Street). This is a dance studio. The address is 4189 Pearl Road, just south of the W. 25th street bridge which goes over the Cleveland Zoo. It has a comfortable atmosphere and the dancers are pretty mixed in their abilities. They provide chips, popcorn and soda for purchase. The cost is $7.00 a person. The parking and entrance are in the back of the building. The dance hall is located in the second floor. Their phone number is 216-398-7660
Dances are on Saturdays from 8:00 to 11:00.

Cleveland Ballroom CompanyIn Beachwood there is a studio called Cleveland Ballroom Company. They hold dances on Friday and Saturday. Their address is 23500 Mercantile Rd Ste G Beachwood, OH 44122. Their phone number is (216) 595-6955. The music and dancing there are both great. You always feel welcomed at CBC.

The floor at PTP is awesome at 5000 square feet of wood flooring. The entrance fee is $6.00. They dance 3 foxtrots, 3 waltzes, 3 polkas, 3-4 Latin, 3 swing and 3 foxtrot, then they repeat it for the second half of the evening. The format for the second half of the evening is open to requests and doesn't follow a specific order. PTP is owned by Lake Metro Parks.

Viva Dance!
12381 Pearl Rd Dances are held weekly on Thursdays and Fridays.
Thursdays:
“Salsa Café” where we play Salsa, Cha Cha, Bachata and Merengue. It runs
from 9:00-11:30 PM. $3 for Viva members and $5 for the public. Free
refreshments and parking.
Fridays: (1st,
2nd, and 4th week of the month) Ballroom, Latin,
Swing and Hustle dance party. Runs from 8:00-11:00 p.m. $5 for Viva
members and $10 for the public. Free refreshments and parking. The 4th
week of the month is “Guest Night” where friends of students can come for
free if they have never been to Viva Dance! before. There are student
showcases on this night.
3rd Friday of the month: Swing night! 9:00 PM until midnight. Class from 8:15-9:00 PM $10 for all. When there is a live band, the cost is $12.
